Associate Pastor Marlene Carty. Womens Ministries Leader.
The mission of the Women’s Ministry is to cater to the unique needs of women in the body of Christ. In many churches women outnumber men in the pews. There are many single parents, young and old, widows, divorcees, women in abusive situations, and young women in need of older, mature spiritual mentors. (Titus 2). There are so many needs, but the laborers are few.We strive to meet those needs in a number of ways:
2nd Sunday of each Month: Women’s Ministries Service. This special Sunday service is focused on Missions and led by our Women’s Ministries Department. Both men and women are encouraged to take part in the primary mission field, their families. Women are encouraged and challenged by the message.
1 Saturday of each Month: Women’s Ministry Fellowship: 9am-1:00pm. Ladies meet for continental breakfast and a number of sessions that inform and educate women on specific topics that of interest to them. All women are invited.
Sister to Sister: Annual local women’s retreat where younger and older women come together to worship, fellowship, learn, and experience God in a new way.
Ladies Spiritual Uplift: Women are encouraged to attend this annual women’s conference, which usually takes place in orlando. OVer 700 women enjoyed Ladies Spiritual uplift each year. Young ladies from age 13 are encouraged to attend and experience the Lord in a setting filled with love and encouragement. (below: Ladies pose with Helen Baylor at a recent Ladies Spiritual Uplift)
