When Everyone Else Lets Go

"When my father and my mother forsake me, then Yahweh will take me up." David wrote Psalm 27 while he was hunted, slandered, and cut off from the people who should have protected him. Verse 10 names the worst-case version of abandonment — not a friend who drifted, but father and mother — and answers it with a promise that holds underneath everything else.
This short study takes five steps through that promise: naming loneliness honestly, seeing that Jesus felt it too, understanding what God actually promises, discovering that God's usual answer to isolation is a people, and learning to wait without going numb.
